Moving On...

I meant to write this post a good while ago but things have been pretty hectic since I got back from France in October. I've been working 25 or so hours a week in a bar in the town near my parents place, I've started another Open University course and with fitting in the training as well as socializing I haven't had a whole heap of time for trawling the net!

Anyway as some of you may have read I have a new home for 2009, I decided not to return to France and instead signed for the new Scottish based Endura squad which I'm really looking forward to. I'll be more or less starting over again, the challenge of racing in the UK is one I don't have too much experience of and I don't know the races or the riders too well but I feel sure once I've adapted to it I'll be able to hold my own at least. I'm looking forward to working with my new team mates and management most of whom I already knew from races with the Scottish national team. I think it's a really good group and I reckon we'll be able surprise a few of the pundits this year. I also hope to go back to university in Spetember 2009 and begin a degree in Law with French, hopefully this will give me more opportunity to combine my sport with study than I have done since I've left school and have a bit more balance in my life.

I'd like to thank the Alan and Brian at the Braveheart Fund and all the people who've supported it over the years since it began back in 2004. Some fantastic opportunities have been made available to me through the financial support of the fund and I will always be very grateful for that. I've very much enjoyed writing the entries over the years and I hope people have enjoyed reading them. I will be continuing to write a bit of an online journal on the team's new website and on the team's facebook page so if any of you are interested you will be able to keep up to date there!

Look foward to seeing some of you on the UK roads next year.
