Hi just some adavance warning of a Sportive weekend on Isle of Skye Saturday 14th. August Backing Budhmor Sportive starts Portree 75 Miles and 42 Mile options Includes climbing the Quiraing for both options + Struan climb on 75 route £12 Entry fee Sunday 15th. South Skye loop starts Broadford Over Skye bridge , Plockton, Shielbridge , Mam Ratagan climb , Glenelg ferry . 60 Mile no short route £12 entry fee Run by local club Cuillin Wheels with all profits going to local nursing home Budhmor. Sounds brilliant. Clubs putting on sportives at this sort of price ( actually, would be happy to pay a bit more to make it sustainable) would be the best way for the uk sportive scene to go.
Dave we appreciate people attending will have travelling and accomodation costs. We want to give people chance to enjoy Skye and Lochalsh and take part in non profit making sportive. Having two day will give people value for money and our guys 2 days of quality bunch riding.
